Who is a Good Candidate for a dorner BREAST Lift?

A breast lift addresses drooping or sagging breast tissue. This can be 
a life-changing procedure for individuals experiencing:

  • Drooping, sagging, or stretched breasts
  • Tubular breasts (elongated breasts that often point downward)
  • Breast asymmetry, where one breast droops more than the other

Options

Depending on your breast lift goals and preferences, Dr. Dorner can perform different breast lift techniques, including varying incision locations.

CL

Crescent Lift: This technique is named for the crescent moon shaped excision above the areola that removes excess skin to lift the breast. We perform this procedure in our office under local anesthesia. This technique can raise the breast about 1-2 cm, making it best for patients who need minimal lift.

DL

Donut Lift: This technique uses a circular incision around the areola to remove excess skin and lift the breast. This procedure is also performed in our office under local anesthesia. The donut lift raises the breast about 1-3 cm.

VLL

Vertical or Lollipop Lift: Named for the complete circular incision around the areola and a vertical incision to the fold under the breast, this technique raises the breast 3-5 cm. We perform this procedure under general anesthesia.

AL

Anchor Lift: This technique can raise the breast as high as needed, making it the most effective breast lift for significant sagging. The anchor lift uses incisions around the areola, vertically to the fold under the breast, and along the inframammary fold (your bottom breast crease). We perform this procedure under general anesthesia.

Results

Your breast lift results are generally permanent but will continue to respond to aging.

Pain

Our patients report a moderate amount of pain. After surgery, you will be fitted with a support bra to help reduce swelling. A small tube will be placed near the incision site to manage any excess drainage. The post-surgical swelling should diminish within several days.

Scars

Dr. Dorner is an expert at minimizing visible scars. The technique you choose will determine the possibility of visible scarring.

Incisions

Incision location depends on the type of breast lift you choose: Crescent, Donut, Vertical, or Anchor.

Anesthesia

Crescent and Donut breast lifts are performed under local anesthesia. Vertical and Anchor breast lifts use general anesthesia.

Downtime & Recovery

3-5 days on pain medications. One week or less to return to work. Limited activity for 2-6 weeks.
