Fly-In Surgery
- Get to Know Us: Familiarize yourself with Dr. Dorner, his guiding principles, and the services he offers. You can do this by watching our introductory video and browsing our website. If you have any questions about our practice or Dr. Dorner, feel free to reach out to us.
- Set Up Your Virtual Consultation: Don’t worry about flying in for an in-office consultation. We will meet with you virtually to discuss everything we would typically cover with local patients. Dr. Dorner will create personalized recommendations based on your unique needs and provide a specialized treatment plan, including financial information and aftercare instructions. We recommend scheduling your surgery appointment first to make hotel and airline reservations as convenient as possible.
- Make Accommodations for Your Visit and Recovery: We generally suggest planning to stay in Columbus for 7 to 10 days, but the duration of your recovery period will vary depending on your procedure; we will discuss this in detail during your virtual consultation. After your procedure, we recommend resting at one of the lovely hotels nearby—after all, it’s a vacation!
- Plan Your Flight: If you have access to a private plane, you can conveniently fly into the OSU airport. If you are flying commercially, we recommend flying into Columbus International Airport with your preferred airline. The airport is less than half an hour away from our office. We are happy to arrange a car service for you if needed.
