To perform the liposuction, Dr. Dorner makes a very small incision to place a custom-made cannula (a small custom tool that Dr. Dorner created to help loosen, contour, and suction the fat deposits). Then Dr. Dorner removes unwanted fat and contours your body.

Results
While some results are immediate, with a noticeable improvement in body contours, it takes 6-10 months for your new body shape and contour to fully develop. Results are permanent, but weight gain can adversely affect outcomes.
Pain
Minimal to moderate, depending on the treated areas. To control pain we offer EXPAREL, a long-lasting local anesthetic administered during surgery to manage pain and minimize or eliminate the need for opioids.
Scars
Dr. Dorner is skilled at minimizing scars. This includes making small, thin incisions in less visible areas.
Anesthesia
Depending on the treatment area, liposuction can be done under local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia.
Incision Location
Depending on the location of your liposuction, Dr. Dorner will strategically place incisions in the natural folds of your body or places typically hidden by clothing.
Downtime
Swelling and bruising are normal for 1-2 weeks, and sutures can be removed after 7-10 days.
Recovery
Recovery at home depends on the number of treatments and the size of the treated area. Smaller areas take 24-48 hours and larger areas take 1-2 weeks.
